I am excited!! I have been accepted into the Alabama Writer's Forum. This forum is a state wide literary arts service organization. Their mission is to advance the art of writing by promoting writers, educating young writers, and cultivating Alabama's literary arts.
I also am now a member of Alabama Writer's Conclave--the oldest writing group in the USA.
Another exciting bit of news--I won a Highly Commended Award and a cash prize for my story Grace and the Angels Sing in the Tom Howard Short Story Contest. I am very pleased about that.
The summer has been good. We have been camping in our travel trailer twice to the lake. It was very relaxing and refreshing.
This September my family will gain a member. My nephew is getting married to a precious young lady. Proud I am they asked me to play the piano for the service and his Daddy, my brother will be the officiating Pastor. It is all very exciting.
Also this summer I have hand picked and assembled a Prayer Team to specifically pray each month for this Writing Ministry and for the e-mag published each month by our writing group. This is very important to me as a Christian Writer.
My mission statement as a Christian Writer is: Capture Life Abundant, live it, write it, share it, because of Christ.
